MEET THE STAFF

Larry DeGreen

Brewmaster Extraodinaire

Co-Owner

Larry started his brewing journey back in 2008 when he received a BEER MACHINE as a birthday gift. He started to fall in love with brewing and eventually his wife and daughter decided it was time for him to "graduate" to real home brewing. Larry became engulfed in all things beer and transformed an extra kitchen in his home as a "Brew Room," complete with his own stovetop, a refridgerator just to hold all those bottles, and of course a CD player that only plays metal music. Larry started out crafting others recipes and people would compliment how flavorful and different his beers were. He began brewing his own recipes based on classic brewing techniques and has crafted several of his own brews as well as some "Better than the original" clones or several of his and his wifes favorites. Larry is known for his enthusiastic laughter, his likeable personality, and his sales pitch on none other than his finely crafted brews.

Marianne DeGreen

Puppy Hop Baker

Co-Owner

Marianne is a Pharmacist for a professional trade and the official "taste tester" for all of the brews coming from the Purple Healer kitchen. She has patiently stood by her husband Larry as he unravels his beer creations and business ideas. She also is the baker behind Purple Healer famous Puppy Hops Beer buscuits, a dog treat made from all those spent grains from brewmaking. Marianne and Larry have two crazy dogs who provide the taste testing and approval for these treats. Ripley an Australian Cattle Dog loves any flavor just out of the oven and Ping, the "heeler" behind the name, prefers sweet potato over all others.

Tacy DeGreen

Site Master & General Marketing

Tacy is a Baker Manager by trade and a loyal daughter to Marianne and Larry. She has a degree in business management which aided her in assisting with the paperwork side of things for the company. Tacy was the inspiration for the wheat beer #23 because of a stomach illness which made beer harder for her to digest. Her dad decided to make a lower acid wheat ale with her favorite fruit, peaches, brewed in. Tacy is the sitemaster and is always looking for advice on how to make the site better. You will find Tacy's smiling face at all of Purple Healers events and festivals with her collection of outrageously purple accessories.
